Zegai-bō, the leader of tengu goblins in China, has come to Japan to extend his power.

He meets with Tarō-bō, the tengu of Mount Atago, about his plan to obstruct the flourishing Buddha Dharma in Japan.

They fix a target of Mount Hiei, headquarters of the Tendai sect, and take off.

The head priest of Mount Hiei has gone down the mountain to offer prayers to calm the strange events in the capital caused by Zegai-bō.

Along with a storm, Zegai-bō appears.

Zegai-bō attempts to attack the monk and his entourage.

But Zegai-bō is vanquished by Acalanatha and the other deities summoned by the abbot. He leaves Japan with a message that he will never come back again.
