Costumes Mae-shite Jō-kami (wig for an old man’s character), mizugoromo (a type of knee-length kimono of middling quality), kitsuke / muji-noshime (short-sleeved kimono with no pattern, worn as the innermost layer of the costumes of male characters of lesser standing) or kogōshi-mehiki (a thickly-woven kimono with small, fine-lined check pattern), koshi-obi (belt), a fan, (and a cane).
