A yamabushi mountain ascetic asks an old man guarding fields about the “Field Guard’s Mirror.”

With tears in his eyes, the old man recalls stories about the Field Guard’s Mirror.

In order to see the mirror held by a spirit demon, the mountain ascetic recites prayers in front of the mound.

The demon appears before the mountain ascetic, together with the Field Guard’s Mirror.

The mirror held by the demon reflects manifold things from every direction of all four quarters.

It reveals the terrifying situation in the hells. On the other hand, the crystal-clear treasure also corrects the straying path of wrongdoers.

Having shown conditions in the hells, the demon returns to the abyss.
