Kagekiyo : PhotoStory

Kagekiyo, a warrior of the defeated Heike clan, has gone blind and been banished to Miyazaki in Hyūga Province (present-day Miyazaki city).

When his daughter Hitomaru comes to visit him, Kagekiyo pretends to be someone else so she will go away. After getting help from a local, Hitomaru visits Kagekiyo again.

Kagekiyo apologizes to the local for his rude attitude.

He says his eyes cannot see, but in his mind he sees the scenery outside.

Kagekiyo and Hitomaru finally come face to face.

At the request of Hitomaru, Kagekiyo tells her about his bravery in battle when he was a warrior.

Time passes. “My end is near,” Kagekiyo tells her. “I will go,” Hitomaru says.

The voices that linger in their ears will be their only momento. They part.
